Ken Murphy recently completed a fully automated Online conference registration system for our company.  The system manages registration, credit card processing, and automatically populates our company’s Foxpro database with all registration transaction information.  This is a brand new system that Ken managed from concept to completion.  Our company is very pleased with the result, which saves our Customer Service department a great deal of time in terms of data entry, processing, and phone calls.  It also offers our customers a smooth and efficient registration experience 24 hours a day.

Ken Murphy is a talented and experienced Foxpro programmer, who was able to quickly grasp the concept as well as the details of what was needed.  He guided us through the process, and always had an answer to whatever challenges we faced along the way.  Our conference pricing and activities structure is very complex with a lot of variations.  Ken was able to create a system that manages the complexities in the background, making the registration process extremely intuitive for the customer. 

Ken worked very well with both our technical and non-technical staff.  He was also very responsible, dependable and accessible throughout the project, and we look forward to working with him on future database projects.

I’m the owner of The Countertop Shoppe, a wholesale/retail custom manufacturer of DuPont™ Corian® countertops. In 2002 I contracted Mr. Kenneth Murphy of Murphy Software Inc. in behalf of my Company to write a custom software package to be used in our operations that would facilitate product quotations, billing, inventory control and payroll in one operation. It was for us a huge undertaking.

Mr. Murphy provided the exact software we wanted in the time frame he had agreed to from the original concept. He had my staff all trained and we went on line right on schedule. Since that time Mr. Murphy has been prompt and courteous in his response to any and all upgrades and enhancements that became necessary with a new system. His diligence and expertise has made the whole experience very workable and trouble free with almost zero downtime from day one. I’m especially pleased with the way he has answered our calls for technical assistance. I feel Mr. Murphy has gone above and beyond my expectations in both software usability and the training of my staff when necessary.

I would highly recommend Mr. Murphy and Murphy Software Inc. to any of my friends or colleagues. I have nothing but praise for his product and service; I couldn’t be more pleased with everything he has done for The Countertop Shoppe.

Ken Murphy worked under my direction as an employee at NECX in Peabody, MA, for a period of two years.  NECX was a small company, but growing fast.  Ken was an instrumental player in adapting existing applications to meet the growth needs, and providing new applications to meet new business needs.

During this two year period, I had the pleasure of seeing Ken grow rapidly from a mid-level programmer to a senior level programmer.  This provided Ken with the experience, skills, and ability to venture out on his own to become contract programmer/consultant.

Ken also work for me as a contractor at Sodexho Marriott Services in Waltham, MA for approximately one year.  Sodexho USA had just purchased Marroitt’s Food Service division, and was in the process of moving their headquarters to Virginia.  Ken became my right hand man in the conversion of applications for the companies.  At the same time, we had to plan and coordinate the roll-out of a new application, new equipment, and equipment upgrades to hundreds of Sodexho’s food service location.

Ken is a hard-working self-starter who invariably understands exactly what a project is all about from the outset, and how to get it done quickly and effectively. He would provide the extra effort whenever needed to make sure the project stayed on schedule and completed on time.

On the interpersonal side, Ken has very good written and verbal communication skills. He always got along extremely well with the people he worked with, as well as management level. He was well respected as both a person and a professional.
